Troy has been with the Association for 16 years. He started working for the Associations in 1999 when he was hired as the Director of Rules and Competition. After seven years in the Championship Department, Troy became the Director of Communications and led the efforts of the Communications Department until 2007 when he was named Assistant Executive Director.
In 2011, Troy was named CEO/Executive Director of the Associations and The Home Course. This responsibility includes operation oversight of the Washington State Golf Association (WSGA), Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA), Pacific Coast Golf Association (PCGA), and The Home Course.
Troy grew up working and playing junior golf at Oakbrook G&CC in Lakewood, Wash. As a left-handed golfer, Troy was inspired at a young age by left-handed PGA Professional and PNWPGA Hall of Famer, George Lanning.
He graduated from Central Washington University, where he earned his B.S. in Communications and Marketing. While in college, he spent several summers working on the maintenance crew at Oakbrook G&CC to help pay for his education.
"I would like to see the Associations continue to be a primary resource in promoting and providing opportunities for anyone interested in the game of golf," he says. "And to develop stronger alliances and partnerships within and beyond the golf industry, and to exemplify and enhance what the overall enjoyment and growth of the game is all about."
Troy is a proud husband and a father of two boys. If he isn't working, he is spending time with his family and is hopeful to get them out on the golf course more.
