Shari Jacobson, Director of Membership and Club Relations

Shari Jacobson

Shari joined the staff in March 2012. She is responsible for the growth and sustainability of the Club Representative Program, as well as the enhancement of our communications with the Club Representatives and our member clubs and facilities. She works closely with the activities of the Membership Services Department, and served as the Director of Championship Operations for the 2014 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links which was held at The Home Course.

Previously, Shari worked at a golf club as the event coordinator, and the club became like a second family (luckily her own family loves golf!). Her interests include her dog "Bernie," music, gardening, and watching her family compete in sports including soccer, wresting and golf (and though she'll tell you she is not good, she enjoys golfing and wakeboarding).

In building the Club Representative program, what do you enjoy the most?

The program is near and dear to my heart - they are a group of people that give and give. When I inherited the program it needed some TLC, which was perfect as it seems I am drawn to projects that can best flourish if they are nurtured and cared for. I am inspired by the potential of this program, as well as look forward to getting to know the dedicate folks that serve as Club Representatives.

Who would be in your Dream Foursome?

My two sons, Logan and Spencer, and my husband Shane. But if they have already teed off, then I'd choose Francis Ouimet, Bobby Jones and my grandmother Ida Johnson (who loved golf).
