2019 Winter Series



Register on November 27, 2018 to compete in the 2019 WSGA Winter Series, sponsored by Puetz Golf!

Participants receive participation points for each event entered as well as for top overall gross and net finishes in each event. $2,000 in Puetz Golf merchandise certificates will be distributed to the top season long men's and women's points finishers. Each contestant will also receive $10 in "Puetz Bucks" for each event they participate in.

About Winter Series

  • The tournament series is open to male and female amateur golfers who are in good standing of a WSGA member club and have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index issued by a WSGA member club, not exceeding 36.4 for men and 40.4 for women.
  • Entry fees are $80 for individual events and $160 for team events.
    The entry fee for each event will cover green fees, range balls, tee prizes, and a $3,000* merchandise payout at the host course (*based on a full field).
  • Each field will have a Men's and Women's Division with flights in each based on handicap index. Payouts will be awarded equally for gross and net in each flight.
  • The "Winter Series Challenge," sponsored by Puetz Golf is back again in 2019. Contestants will receive participation points for each event they play in, with additional points awarded to each division's top gross and net finishers in each tournament. A series-long points list will be kept online and after the final event, $2,000 in Puetz Golf merchandise certificates will be distributed to the top men's and women's points finishers. Each contestant will also receive $10 in "Puetz Bucks" for each event they participate in.

Formats:

Stableford

Players will receive 100% of their course handicap for net scoring.

2-Person Stableford Best-Ball

For net scoring, men will receive 90% and women will receive 95% of their course handicaps. Partners' course handicaps must be within 8 strokes of one another or an adjustment will be made to the higher player's handicap to meet this requirement.

2-Person Scramble

Team handicaps are determined by combining 35% of the low player's course handicap and 15% of the high player's course handicap.

Individual Stroke Play

Players will receive 100% of their course handicap for net scoring.

2-Person Best Ball

For net scoring, men will receive 90% and women will receive 95% of their course handicaps. Partners handicaps must be within 8 strokes of one another or an adjustment will be made to the higher player's handicap to meet this requirement.
