Haack Crowned Champion at Inaugural WSGA Men's Mid-Amateur Championship

Walla Walla, Wash. (August 7, 2010) – The Inaugural WSGA Men’s and Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship concluded today at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla, Wash. Mike Haack, a 31 year old from Bellevue, Wash. followed up an opening round of 3-under par 69 with a 2-under par 70 today for a 36-hole total of 5-under par 139 and a two stroke victory. Haack began the day one stroke back of first round leader, Sean Packer of Lake Tapps, Wash. but his steady play with birdies on holes 2, 7, 12, and 15 with just two bogeys on holes 3 and 11 were enough to prevail.
